Cholecystitis (Gallstones) Causes
Cholecystitis can be caused by any of the following:
- gallstones
- increasing age
- pregnancy
- obesity
- rapid weight loss
- liver diseases
- infections
- severe illness or tumour (these causes are rare)
- genetics and heredity factors, which make one prone to get gallstones
